Clinton NY is located between Rhinebeck to the  North and Pleasant Valley to the south, it is another Dutchess County town with lots of open space and horse farms.  Home to the well-known Clinton Winery, which supplied some of the wine to the Chelsea Clinton Wedding in Rhinebeck.

The present population is just slightly over 4,329.  Clinton was named after one of NY State Governor, George Clinton, and the town was established in 1788.  You might not know this but Hyde Park and Pleasant Valley were originally part of the town of Clinton.  With that separation,  the town of Clinton is now  37.60 square miles.

Clinton is also home to America’s littlest library.

There are 6 hamlets in this town namely: Bulls Head, Clinton Corners, Clinton Hollow, Hibernia, Pleasant Plain, and Schultzville
